The “elite” think very highly of themselves, of course: they trust each other more and more to “design and do beautiful things together”.

Video cuts off, so not sure what followed the “but…”, but it’s probably on the lines of “but not by the consent of the people”. Even if that wasn’t what was stated, it certainly is true.
Also the “elite” call themselves “elite”, but pronounce it “a-leet”.
